NME reported today that Green Day’s frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has checked himself into clinic for substance abuse. This happens just two days after performing at iHeartRadio Music Festival in Vegas where he was visibly upset and insulted the organizers for cutting their setlist so that Usher could perform enough time (watch the video below).
Billie Joe is seeking treatment for substance abuse. We would like everyone to know that our set was not cut short by Clear Channel and to apologize to those we offended at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas. – Posted on Green Day’s official site.
